Meet Fantail 2.0! The brand new Augustbird Merino + Silk Sock Yarn base is here! There is no more need for nylon thanks to reenforcement of shimmery, strong tussah silk and the tighter twist. These new features improve wear and reduce pilling, as well as adding a glorious subtle sheen, how wonderful!
Fantail's Australian merino is sustainable, natural and local - Grown ethically on the White Gum Wool farm right here in Australia! 
Augustbird Bowerbird yarn is hand-dyed by me, Rebecca Robinson, in small batches from my studio in the Adelaide Hills, Peramangk country. To find out a bit about me and my dyeing process click here.

Sustainable, traceable and super soft. White Gum Wool sheep are raised on a single farm by Nan Bray, in the high midlands of Tasmania. Hand-dyed by Augustbird.
